Why We Built This
RatedApps was built by Darren, founder of a Shopify agency that has evaluated, installed, and debugged hundreds of Shopify apps for merchant clients across a decade of hands-on work. After years of having no reliable independent source to check before recommending an app — no Consumer Reports, no G2, no Trustpilot equivalent for the Shopify ecosystem — we built the platform we wished existed.

Our mission is simple: give Shopify merchants honest, structured, independently verified information about the apps they're considering — information that is not influenced by the developers who make them.

- Merchant-first: Every review is written from the perspective of the merchant, not the developer.
- Transparent: Our scoring methodology is fully published. You can see exactly why every app scored the way it did.
- Verified: Merchant reviews are verified before publication. We do not publish unverified opinions.
